Course Overview
In this 4th grade math course, students will dive into the world of whole numbers and decimals, where they get to explore processes like composition and decomposition—breaking numbers apart and building them up. They’ll also learn how to convert decimals into fractions, giving them the tools to understand numbers in new and exciting ways.
As they progress throughout the course, students discover different strategies for adding and subtracting whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. There are lessons in data representation, where students get to organize and interpret information with charts, graphs, and tables, adding a creative and practical element to their learning. This course isn’t just about numbers—it provides students with the tools they need to succeed while making math an enjoyable adventure!
