Course Overview
The Acellus Kindergarten Social Studies lessons introduce students to basic concepts of social groups, social interactions, and important topics related to families, neighborhoods, communities, work, and jobs. Through engaging kindergarten social studies activities, students explore the difference between needs and wants, practice wise spending. They’ll continue to learn about the weather and various types of geography such as deserts, mountains and plains.
Students will also learn how to use maps, discover countries around the world, and explore the United States. They will also be introduced to technology, helping them understand days, weeks, and months, and celebrate holidays, traditions, and cultural celebrations. In addition to these social studies lessons, students will gain a strong foundation in understanding their world, fostering curiosity and a sense of connection to the people and places around them.
