7th Grade Homeschool Courses
Our seventh grade courses cover a variety of topics, such as:
- Introduction to algebraic and geometric concepts as well as applying mathematical principles to real-world situations.
- Reading comprehension and writing techniques, including grammar and vocabulary application, through the study of different pieces of literature.
- Scientific concepts and theories in life, earth, and physical science through video experimentation and real-world examples.
- World history and geography dating back to the medieval era as well as social, cultural, and technological changes that have occurred throughout civilization.
Power Homeschool encourages students to take at least one foreign language course throughout middle school. We offer curriculum in French, German, and Spanish that teaches students vocabulary, greetings, verb conjugation, and basic conversation. These courses also include cultural lessons about the countries whose people speak these languages as their native tongue.
7th Grade Homeschool Experience
Power Homeschool’s online curriculum uses a variety of tools to give each homeschool student a unique learning experience. This is incredibly important at the seventh grade level because students are learning more about their skills, interests, and hobbies that could lead to potential careers or courses of study further along in their education.
The Acellus Learning System is integrated into our courses, which uses video instruction, practice problems, reviews, and extra help videos to ensure students are learning and understanding every lesson. The learning experience is tailored to each student’s individual needs. Students work at their own pace by progressing through material as they master concepts while spending extra time on the ones they find challenging.
Parent Involvement
Power Homeschool is a homeschool curriculum designed to help parents and children alike. The program empowers parents to help their students by offering many different tools and resources. Parents can review work, evaluate progress, and track “attendance” through the parent portal on the Acellus App. The Live Monitor tools notifies the parent when a student is running into difficulties with a lesson or problem.
