Our Career and Technical Education Curriculum
Power Homeschool is an official provider of online Acellus® courses. We give parents exceptional independent homeschooling support. Our CTE courses allow high school students to explore their career options. They will enjoy video-based lessons, where professionals provide hands-on exercises. They can also use practice challenges, e-books and supplemental materials to refine their skills.

Business Management
Our business management course is ideal for students planning to attend college or immediately enter the job market. It covers foundational topics such as management, leadership development and organizational efficiency. Students will explore business regulations and compliance, the mathematics of management, raising capital and developing products and services.
Electrical Technology
The electrical technology program gives students the knowledge and practice necessary for a successful career in an electrical-related field. We’ve broken the program into two courses. The first introduces career opportunities in the electrical field. It lays the foundations with electrical theory, safety practices and practical circuitry. Electrical Technology II builds on this information, giving students the additional knowledge and skills to prepare for the certification exam and start their careers.
HVAC-R
We’ve filmed our heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration program in 3D to prepare students for certification. The University of California-approved program consists of two parts. In the first course, students learn about career opportunities in the field, study the tools used in the trade and practice the necessary safety precautions. This course also touches on fundamental residential maintenance. In HVAC-R II, they take their skills and knowledge a step further, preparing for their certification exam and building successful careers.
Information Management
Acellus® information management courses are in two parts. The first provides students with an understanding of how businesses use technology to manage massive amounts of data and helps them develop study skills for higher education. The course leverages historical content, practice and extensive examples to develop communication skills and excel in their chosen degree. Information Management II builds on the previous learnings to teach students workplace communication, financial statements and business documents.
Medical Terminology
Any student who plans to pursue a career in the medical field will benefit from this course, which uses professionally filmed videos to introduce them to anatomical instruction, medical tools and their associated terminology. Students learn through video, graphics and textual examples, refining their understanding of the human body.
Plumbing Technology
Our 3D plumbing technology courses let students explore every aspect of a career in plumbing or general construction. The first part of the course introduces students to plumbing, covering safety and day-to-day activities. From there, students progress to Part II, gaining the additional knowledge and practical skills they need to earn certification and start their careers.
Accounting
Acellus® courses allow students to learn to interpret and formulate financial information. From the introductory course through Accounting II, students can take several video classes, building their accounting knowledge for business or further study. Students will also develop related skills, like client communication.
Principles of Business, Marketing and Finance
In this foundational business course, students will develop a solid background for entering the industry or pursuing further study. The detailed and interactive video classes explore topics like economics, forecasting, insurance, accounting and personal growth.
Investigating Careers
The Investigating Careers course covers various fields, providing students with insights into potential long-term vocational paths.
